Builders risk coverage insures against risk of loss from damage to property under construction, whether new construction or renovation of existing buildings. This insures the value of a building which is in the process being built.  The structure, building materials, equipment and supplies are all covered under this policy. Coverage can be added for protection for losses due ordinances or laws, building material in transit to the site and theft of materials at the site.

A standard insurance policy issued to businesses to protect them against liability claims for bodily injury and property damage arising out of premises, operations, products, and completed operations; and advertising and personal injury liability.

We can entertain most ISO classifications shown in the Commercial Lines Manual. We have in-house authority for the majority of ISO classes which means we can give fast turn-around on your quotes. We also have access to brokerage markets for Casualty that are willing to entertain some of the tougher liability classes.

A standard insurance policy issued to businesses that sell, serve, or allow alcoholic beverages to be consumed at or away from the insured establishment.  Liquor Liability provides protection in the event a lawsuit is filed for damages related to intoxicated persons who were patrons of the establishment.

Businesses with Liquor Liability Insurance have coverage for the costs of liquor-related injuries, assaults, or accidents that occur on and off their business premises, depending on their policy.

A stand-alone policy that covers the named insured’s liability for bodily injury and property damage caused, in whole or in part, by an independent contractor’s work for the insured. The property owner purchases the policy to provide coverage for vicarious liability the client (project owner) incurs as a result of the contractor’s acts or omissions on the project. The OCP policy also responds to liability arising out of the insured’s own acts or omissions in connection with its general supervision of the contractor’s operations.

Contractors who perform work within 50-feet of any railroad-owned property are required to have Railroad Protective Liability insurance. The coverage is project specific and covers bodily injury and property damage arising from acts or omissions relating to job-site operations being performed by the designated contractor.

Special Event Liability Insurance is an insurance policy designed to provide broad protection for situations in which an event holder or concessionaire must defend itself against lawsuits or pay damages for bodily injury or property damage to third parties.  This policy also gives protection to the venue and/or sponsors of the event when they are added to the policy as an additional insured.

Commercial Umbrella insurance is liability coverage that is in excess of specified other commercial insurance policies and also potentially primary insurance for losses not covered by the other policies. When an insured business is liable to someone, the insured’s primary insurance policies pay up to their limits and any additional amount is paid by the umbrella policy (up to the coverage limit of the umbrella policy).

    • Be sure to include the limit that is needed, receipts, payroll, the limits for the underlying liability, the liability premiums for each line of business the umbrella is to go over.

  • Risk specific supplements that pertain to the risk (Contractors Supplement, Restaurant Supplement etc)
  • Copies of the GL Dec pages showing the class codes and rating basis used
